Mathcore-Urväter SIKTH mit erster Musik seit neun Jahren

Ihr letztes Album „Death of a Dead Day“ ist von 2006 – nun haben Sikth, eine der Gründerbands des modernden Progressive Metal neue Musik angekündigt. Das Mini-Album „Opacities“ wird am 22. Januar erscheinen, die Band hat sich dazu mit dem britischen Label Peaceville (Katatonia, My Dying Bride, Bloodbath) zusammengetan. Zum vielversprechenden Video ‚Philistine Philosophies‘ kommentiert Sänger Mikee Goodman, der Regie führte:

„I thought the band should be presented as individuals. I felt a full band performance shot was not right for us. Was a really intense editing process. I created full screens beforehand to play behind the band. The animation and puppet design was by a man called Gavin Sodo I worked with before. I think they look amazing. In order to create places that look out of this world, I thought this was the best way.“
