DEVILDRIVER – Kündigen Doppelalbum für Oktober an
Die kalifornischen Groove-Metaller DevilDriver haben für den 9. Oktober den ersten Teil eines neuen Doppelalbums angekündigt. „Dealing with Demons I“ wird bei Napalm Records erscheinen. Die erste Single „Keep Away From Me“ ist seit Mitte Mai online. Im Song thematisiert Frontmann und Sänger Dez Fafara seine persönlichen Unsicherheiten im sozialen Kontakt mit anderen Menschen auf dem Hintergrund der aktuellen Situation der Corona-Quarantäne. Es ist ein Video, das gleichzeitig nachdenklich und hoffnungsvoll macht.
„We as artists should speak up, inspire and change lives, or paint a picture – a time capsule if you will – by the narrative we push in uncertain times. This video is one such art piece as my band and thousands of others are forced into quarantine – cannot rehearse, take photos, or perform – to make a music video for the very people that have supported us for years. It’s trying times for the world and my outlook through this video is simply this: ‘here’s what we are going through as a family on this planet and as we embrace what is yet to come… please Stand Together’.”
Zum kommenden Album-Release gibt es jede Menge neues DevilDriver Mechandise, das bereits vorbestellt werden kann. Dazu zählen neben Tonträgern inkl. Vinyl in verschiedenen Farben auch Kleider, Notizbücher, ein Skateboard und mehr.
