BEACH HOUSE – Und schon wieder ein Album
Nicht einmal zwei Monate nach der Veröffentlichung von ‚Depression Cherry‘ fahren Beach House auch schon mit ihrem nächsten Album – ich wiederhole: Album! – aus dessen Windschatten. ‚Thank Your Lucky Stars‘, so der Titel des völlig überraschend erscheinenden Nachfolgers, wird gestaffelt releast werden und in der Folge sukzessive am 16.10.2015 als Download, am 23.10.2015 als LP und am 06.11.2015 als CD erhältlich sein.
Das franko-amerikanische Dreampop-Duo veröffentlichte folgendes Statement über Inhalt und Beweggründe:
“Thank Your Lucky Stars‘ is our 6th full length record. It was written after ‚Depression Cherry‘ from July 2014 – November 2014 and recorded during the same sessions as Depression Cherry. The songs came together very quickly and were driven by the lyrics and the narrative. In this way, the record feels very new for us, and a great departure from our last few records. Thematically, this record often feels political. It’s hard to put it into words, but something about the record made us want to release it without the normal ‚campaign‘. We wanted it to simply enter the world and exist.‘
Um ihren Fans die Wartezeit zu verkürzen, haben Beach House erneut ihren Single Finder ausgepackt, der, je nachdem, welche Songauswahl man trifft, den geschmacksähnlichsten von drei neuen Titeln abspielt: ‚She’s So Lovely‘, ‚One Thing‘, oder ‚Majorette‘. Lasst euch überraschen.
